This week SB Nation is hosting a theme week based on jerseys, so we’ve gathered the staff of Blazer’s Edge to answer a simple question: What is your favorite Portland Trail Blazers jersey ever? Take a look at their choices below:

Isaiah De Los Santos (@IsaiahDeLos): My favorite will always be the sleeved Rip City jerseys. They were so different but also looked so good. It’s one of the few jerseys I actually own.

Timmay (@pdxTimmay): Much like popular music and Saturday Night Live, some people believe your favorite team jerseys will almost always be the ones from when you’re in your early teens. So, clearly and objectively, the legendary lower-case Blazers jerseys worn through the ‘80s are by far the best.

[cough] Alright, the current ones are actually really solid too, if they just removed the ad. [cough]

Nate Mann (@nate_mann13): I didn’t start watching the Blazers until at least 2005, so I won’t claim that a classic ‘70s or ‘80s jersey is my favorite. Instead, I’ll submit to recency bias and say that the plaid ‘City’ jerseys from 2017-2018 are the franchise’s best threads. The anticipation of Portland’s first Nike ‘City’ jersey as well as the associated plaid night elevated them to more than just a jersey. Plus, jerseys look a lot better when the team is winning in them.

Ryne Buchanan (@ryne_buchanan): First of all, I don’t think the Blazers have had a bad jersey to date (except maybe the tire track red alternates). However, I’ve gotta go with the ‘74-’77 vertical letter styling as my personal favorite. Though I wasn’t around for the era, we all got a fresh taste of them with this season’s throwback look—and there’s a reason for that. They’re unique and synonymous with the championship team.

Steve Dewald (@SteveDHoops): For me, my favorite is the jersey that the Blazers donned when I became a true memorize-the-boxscore type fan. That era coincided with the “All Caps” jersey run through the 1990s. Narrowing it down further: I am a sucker for the black uniforms. Clean, crisp and a perfect jersey for Rasheed Wallace to wear as he blossomed into a star.
