Guard Rodney Hood expects to be with the Portland Trail Blazers next season but hasn’t indicated whether or not he will pick up the player option on his current contract. Hood revealed this, also talking about his rehab workouts, in a Zoom conference with Portland media today.
Hood tore his left Achilles tendon on December 6th, 2019 in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He has not played since and is not expected to return before next season. He has a $6 million player option with the Blazers for 2020-21. He can choose to remain with the club for that amount or attempt to negotiate a new deal as an unrestricted free agent this summer.

On a Zoom call with Portland media, Rodney Hood says he's been working out with the Blazers' trainers in one-on-one settings three days a week as allowed by the NBA as he continues to rehab his torn Achilles. "I've been making a lot of progress even with everything going on."
