The Portland Trail Blazers and Jody Allen are giving more than $1.4 million to assist with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. This money will pay the wages of part-time Rose Quarter employees for the nine remaining home games that were postponed after the NBA season was suspended.

Almost 1,000 employees will be helped by this gift.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban announced a similar initiative after the season was suspended on March 11.
