The USA Basketball Board of Directors has announced that the annual Nike Hoop Summit, scheduled for April 10th in Portland, has been canceled. The cancellation comes on the heels of the suspension of the NBA season and is part of a greater shutdown of all USA Basketball events in response to protocol to reduce the tempo of the COVID-19 virus.

The 2020 Summer Olympics are scheduled for late July and early August in Tokyo, Japan. If those competitions are held, USA Basketball will need to find a way to determine participants, if any, in the basketball events.
