This Week On Blazer’s Edge Radio

The return of Damian Lillard and a pair of costly losses highlight this week’s edition of the show.

While the return of Damian Lillard and a win over the lowly Washington Wizards was nice, the focus of this week’s edition of Blazer’s Edge Radio was understandably the team’s blowout losses over the weekend to the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings.

While the Portland Trail Blazers remain in the playoff hunt, and were able to enact a measure of revenge against the Suns last night, the pair of disheartening defeats could prove extremely costly down the stretch. Thursday’s tilt against the Memphis Grizzlies looms large, as the team will almost certainly have to win both remaining games against the Grizz to have any chance of making the postseason for the seventh consecutive season.

Other topics included the impending return of Jusuf Nurkic, the Brooklyn Nets’ decision to part ways with Kenny Atkinson, and Atlanta Hawks CEO Steve Koonin’s proposal to start the NBA season in December.
