Former Portland Trail Blazers big man Meyers Leonard will miss his first return to the Moda Center due to an ankle injury suffered Monday against the 76ers. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Wednesday that Leonard will not travel with Miami on its five-game road trip, which features a stop in Portland on Feb. 9.
Leonard spent seven seasons with the Blazers before being part of the trade last summer that brought Hassan Whiteside to Portland. He has appeared in 49 games for Miami, averaging 6.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 20.1 minutes per game.
