The forward tweaks an existing injury.

NBA: Utah Jazz at Portland Trail Blazers Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

Portland Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little injured his ankle in the closing moments of Portland’s 127-99 loss to the Denver Nuggets tonight. He went down with 38 seconds remaining in the game and went directly to the Trail Blazers’ locker room.

News after the game is still indeterminate, but we know Little is having x-rays.

The rookie small forward has contributed 3.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and plenty of energy in 38 appearances for the Blazers this season, averaging 12.5 minutes per outing.

We will update this post as news becomes available.

Update 9:06 PM:

X-rays came back negative. Little’s status is unknown for Portland’s game Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs.
