The Portland Trail Blazers are expected to be without star point guard Damian Lillard for “a couple more games”, according to Jason Quick of The Athletic. After an initial report said Lillard would travel with the team on their upcoming three-game road trip, Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl reports Lillard did not travel with the team to Indiana, their first stop of the trip:
Damian Lillard (right groin strain) did NOT travel with the team to Indianapolis for the first game of a three-game trip.

The Blazers are 1-2 in the three games Lillard has missed due to his recent groin strain; their only win came against the Pistons on Sunday. Lillard said he expected to miss at least 3-4 games when talking about the injury last week, but he also didn’t rule out the possibility of missing additional time.
Portland will play in Indiana, Atlanta and Orlando before returning for a home game on March 4 against the Wizards.
