Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker will replace the injured Damian Lillard in the NBA All-Star Game and 3-Point Contest, the league announced Thursday. Lillard suffered a sprained groin late in Wednesday’s loss against the Memphis Grizzlies.
After the game, Lillard said he wouldn’t be able to compete at All-Star Weekend and hoped someone like Booker would replace him. Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes reported after the injury that Lillard didn’t feel a pop.
Lillard is set to undergo an MRI Thursday.
