Damian Lillard is one of the NBA’s premier players and his potential to secure MVP honors in 2020-21 presents prospective bettors with a favorable line. The Trail Blazers star made CBS Sports contributor Sam Quinn’s list of “best betting value” options earlier this week.

Lillard headlined the category of players that fall in the range of 10:1 to 25:1 options. Quinn explained that the former Weber Star has proven he can string together extended stretches of next-level production.

History says that at some point this season, Lillard is going to go on a hot streak that warrants MVP consideration. For a narratively-driven award, those streaks really matter. Normally, these streaks come with Lillard’s Trail Blazers far enough down the standings that it doesn’t make a difference. That probably won’t be the case this season.

Last season, Lillard averaged a career-best 30.0 points per game. On top of his scoring, he set a new career high in assists average with eight per game. Boosted by the Blazers’ healthy and re-tooled roster, the 30-year-old guard is positioned to produce at a high level once again.
