Damian Lillard has inked an endorsement deal with Gatorade prior to the start of the 2020-21 NBA season. The Trail Blazers star officially joined the Gatorade roster of athletes on Friday.
Forbes contributor Kurt Badenhausen detailed Lillard’s new venture.
The Portland Trail Blazers start training camp this weekend, ending the shortest offseason in NBA history. Five-time All-Star Damian Lillard will arrive with a new sponsorship in tow, after Gatorade announced the guard as the latest addition to its athlete roster Friday morning.
Lillard will promote Gatorade’s Bolt24, which launched last year as a low-calorie drink aimed at athletes for around the clock hydration. The sea salt and watermelon-based drink is Gatorade’s first new product platform in 20 years and features two varieties, Antioxidant and Energize.
Gatorade has targeted three athletes to promote the Bolt24 product. Earlier this year, golfer Matt Wolff joined the same campaign.
Along with his endorsement deal with Gatorade, Lillard has a premier shoe contract with Adidas.
