The Portland Trail Blazers Schedule 2020-21 has been released. 37 games have been announced, covering a span from opening night on December 23rd to the through March 4th. Only the first half of the NBA schedule is being released at this time.
The NBA travel schedule will be radically different this season due to COVID-19. The Blazers will open at home against the Utah Jazz on the 23rd. 12 of their first 18 games will be played at home. They will have a six-game road trip in late January and early February, following a seven-game homestand in early January.
NBCSports Northwest remains the local partner of the Trail Blazers. They will broadcast 34 of the 37 games. Three will be broadcast on TNT exclusively (January 28th at Houston, February 11th vs. Philadelphia, and February 23rd at Denver). ESPN will co-broadcast two games: at the Los Angeles Lakers on February 26th and versus the Golden State Warriors on March 3rd. Seven games will air on NBATV.
Here is the schedule with dates, opponents, time, and broadcast venues.
From our own Dan Marang on Twitter:
POR will play 1 B2B in January and will only have 1 period where they have more than 1 day between games for the entire month (Jan25 game 26-27 off Jan28 game).— Danny Marang (@DannyMarang) December 4, 2020
That’s a lot of basketball...
Few other quick notes on the schedule:— Danny Marang (@DannyMarang) December 4, 2020
16 games in Jan - (7 GM home stand)
14 games in Feb (ASB and short month)
5 total B2Bs in the first half
Depth is going to matter A LOT.
