The Bucks are set to lose their 2022 second-round pick after the NBA concluded its investigation of Milwaukee’s contact with restricted free agent guard Bogdan Bogdanovic. Prior to signing an offer sheet with the Hawks, it appeared that the Bogdanovic was headed to the Bucks in an exchange with the Kings. A violation was unearthed by the NBA in the fallout of that nixed trade between Milwaukee and Sacramento.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania delivered the news on Monday morning.

Bogdanovic went on to sign a four-year, $72 million deal with the Hawks. Last season, his third in the NBA, the 28-year-old Serbian star posted averages of 15.1 points and 3.4 assists per game.
