LeBron James has signed a two-year, $85 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Lakers. The deal allows the 2020 NBA Champions to retain their superstar through 2023, at least. Shams Charania of The Athletic tweeted the news.

The 35-year-old forward averaged 25.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and a league-leading 10.2 assist per game while leading the Lakers to their 17th NBA championship last season.
