The NBA Draft is fast approaching. In two weeks the Portland Trail Blazers will be on the clock with the No. 16 pick, although it’s unclear on who they’ll select. In his latest mock draft, Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman has Portland drafting Serbian big man Aleksej Pokusevski with their first-round pick. Wasserman hints that the Blazers may have shown interest in the prospect:
One team figures to find Pokusevski’s potential worth the risk, and we’re hearing Portland could be interested. At 7’0”, he projects as a forward with unique shooting and passing skills, as well as active shot-blocking ability.
Pokusevski played in 11 games with Olympiacos II this season, averaging 10.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game. The 18-year-old stands 7 feet tall with an impressive 7-foot-3 wingspan.
