The New Orleans Pelicans have already made one big move this offseason, firing head coach Alvin Gentry after the team’s poor performance at the NBA’s Disney World bubble and hiring Stan Van Gundy to replace him. Now, they could be looking to shake up their roster. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, New Orleans is “openly discussing” Jrue Holiday in trades, with several contenders likely to pursue the guard:

Holiday was rumored to be available at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said there was “some discussion” between the Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets in February about the guard.
Holiday averaged 19.1 points, 6.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds this season with New Orleans. He has spent seven of his 11 seasons in the NBA with the Pelicans. Prior to his tenure in New Orleans, Holiday earned an NBA All-Star Team nod in 2012-13 as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.
