Evan Turner is widely known as a great locker room presence. Now he’ll get a chance to wield that kind of influence in a different role.
According to Shams Charania, Turner has accepted a coaching role with the Boston Celtics:
10-year NBA veteran Evan Turner is finalizing a deal to join the Boston Celtics as an assistant coach, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Turner is expected to focus on player development.

Turner, the second overall pick in the 2010 draft, averaged eight points, four rebounds, and three assists with the Trail Blazers from 2016-19.
