The first weekend of NBA free agency is nearly wrapped up and roster spots are filling up quickly. Here is a look at the moves, rumors and trades for Sunday.
Donovan Mitchell signed a designated rookie extension with the Utah Jazz, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The deal is worth a reported $195 million, with $163 million guaranteed.

The Jazz picked up Mitchell during a draft night trade in 2017 with the Denver Nuggets.
In Los Angeles, the Lakers are purportedly looking to sign Marc Gasol. Gasol helped the Toronto Raptors win the 2019 NBA Championship. Gasol’s brother, Pau, won two championships with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010.
Torrey Craig is headed to the Milwaukee Bucks after the Nuggets rescinded his qualifying offer.
Kings wing Bogdan Bogdanovic has signed a four-year offer sheet that clocks in at $72 million with the Hawks. The Kings will now have 48 hours to match that offer.
Former Blazers forward Kent Bazemore is returning to the Warriors on a one-year deal. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Bazemore had several suitors.
Jontay Porter, brother of Michael Porter Jr., has agreed to a three-year, $6 million contract with the Grizzlies.
The Suns have signed center Damian Jones to a two-year deal. Jones played with the Warriors for three seasons before suiting up with the Hawks last year.
The Nuggets executed a trio of moves on Sunday. Bol Bol’s contract was converted from a two-way deal, they waived Keita Bates-Diop and they signed Isaiah Hartenstein.
Bismack Biyombo will remain with the Charlotte Hornets. Biyombo returned to Charlotte in 2018.
The Dallas Mavericks have signed big man Willie Cauley-Stein to a 2-year deal worth $8.2 million. Cauley-Stein landed with the Mavericks via a trade with the Golden State Warriors.
Willy Hernangomez has landed with the New Orleans Pelicans, signing a one-year deal.
Meanwhile, E’Twaun Moore will move on to the Phoenix Suns, where he has agreed to a $.24 million one-year deal.
The Philadelphia 76ers are trading Zhaire Smith to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Tony Bradley. Due to a foot fracture and complications from a sesame allergy, Smith missed a lot of playing time during his rookie season.
Jayson Tatum has agreed to stay with the Celtics, signing a five-year $195 million extension. The Celtics drafted Tatum with the 3rd overall pick in 2017.
The Minnesota Timberwolves have offered a 3-year deal to restricted free agent Juancho Hernangomez. He was traded to the team by the Nuggets in February 2020.
Austin Rivers is headed to the New York Knicks for a three-year deal worth $10 million.
TJ Leaf is going to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a trade for Jalen Lecque. The Pacers drafted Leaf in 2017. Lecque was part of the Phoenix Suns blockbuster trade for Chris Paul.
The Timberwolves are trading Jacob Evans and Omari Spellman as well as a pick to the New York Knicks for veteran Ed Davis, a former Portland Trail Blazer.
UPDATE: Marc Gasol will sign a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Toronto Raptors have landed big man Aron Baynes with a two-year, $14.3 million contract. The second year is a team option.
JaVale McGee is being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers by the Los Angeles Lakers. They are also sending a second-round pick.
