Giles missed his rookie season with the Kings due to issues with his knee. In Portland, he is expected to add young depth to the rotation of bigs following a season in which the Blazers struggled to have a cohesive frontcourt with injuries to both Jusuf Nurkic and Zach Collins.
Giles apparently signed for the minimum.
Source says the Harry Giles deal with Portland (reported earlier by ESPN) is for the minimum. Great pick-up by the Blazers. Harry still has big upside, and is a fan favorite/great locker room guy type. (Had to edit source of original report here; apologies).
