The Heat, who are in an 0-2 hole to the Lakers in the NBA Finals, might receive a much-needed boost in Game 3. According to Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Chris Haynes, center Bam Adebayo is hopeful that he will be able to play in Sunday’s contest.

Following Friday’s loss, Adebyo explained that he is optimistic about returning and that the Heat must play with a level of desperation in order to avoid falling to 0-3 in the series.

“Yes, I believe I’ll be in the lineup,” Adebayo told Yahoo Sports after missing the Los Angeles Lakers’ 124-114 victory that gave them a 2-0 series lead. “I’m feeling better. I believe I’ll play.”

“We’ve got to play with a level of desperation,” Adebayo told Yahoo Sports. “That’s what I see. We’ve got to be a desperate team and come out with a lot of energy from the jump. I’m confident we can turn things around.”

Through 16 outings in the playoffs, Adebayo is averaging 17.8 points, 10.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
