Carmelo Anthony’s former coach, George Karl, thinks the Portland Trail Blazers are a great fit for the former Denver Nuggets star. In an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio, Karl stated that Melo has good communication with his current coach, Terry Stotts, something that hasn’t been seen elsewhere.
And he fit. He fitted. He fit with the team. And why try to try to figure it out someplace else? When you’ve got a good place, a good team, that’s close to being really good? I would recommend him going back to Portland.
Where will Carmelo Anthony play next season?

Karl noted that should Melo go elsewhere, he would have to learn how to fit in with a new team, and at this point in his career, that is not necessarily desirable. While many in Rip City had questions when Anthony joined the Blazers, his tenure with Portland this season turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Should Melo return to the Blazers, we look forward to seeing him show us his love for basketball in yet another season.
