Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard somehow found another level during the 2019-20 NBA season, which is saying something for the perennial All-Star and All-NBA point guard. Lillard posted career bests in points per game (30), assists (8), FG% (46.3) and 3P% (40.1). His season was capped off by a monstrous run at the NBA’s Disney World bubble, where he won Bubble MVP for averaging 37.6 points and 9.6 assists during the team’s eight seeding games.
With the 2019-20 season officially wrapped up, oddsmakers are already looking ahead to 2021. SportsBetting.com has given Lillard 15/1 odds of winning 2021 NBA MVP, good for ninth best. Here’s how the top ten shakes out (via Mike Fisher of Sports Illustrated):
- Luka Doncic 4-1
- Giannis Antetokounmpo 9-2
- Stephen Curry 5-1
- LeBron James 7-1
- Anthony Davis 7-1
- James Harden 8-1
- Kawhi Leonard 9-1
- Kevin Durant 10-1
