The Portland Trail Blazers took the floor Thursday morning for shootaround ahead of their matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Among them was recovering big man Jusuf Nurkic, as Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl pointed out:

However, current starting center Hassan Whiteside was absent at shootaround due to illness. Holdahl noted that Whiteside went to the doctor and his status is to be determined for Thursday’s game.
Portland is already dealing with a thin frontcourt after injuries to Nurkic, Zach Collins and Skal Labissiere. They tip off with the T-Wolves at 5 p.m. PT.
