Carmelo Anthony (Personal Reasons) Not With Team Ahead of Friday’s Game

Anthony’s status for Friday is unannounced so far.

Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony is not with the team ahead of Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers due to personal reasons, it was announced Thursday. His status has not been officially announced as of yet, per Blazers digital reporter Casey Holdahl.

Friday will be the first Laker home game since the sudden passing of Kobe Bryant on Sunday. A teary-eyed Anthony reflected on his relationship with Bryant after Portland’s recent win against Indiana.
