Portland Trail Blazers players Damian Lillard and Carmelo Anthony both had nights worthy of earning a game ball in the win against the Houston Rockets. Lillard registered his first career triple-double with 36 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. The performance is just another in a string of memorable games that have already earned him a Player of the Week win.
Anthony hit a milestone of his own against the Rockets, moving up to No. 17 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list after passing Kevin Garnett. After the game, head coach Terry Stotts found himself divided on who to give the game ball. Turns out, the players were too, passing the ball between themselves as each saw the other as worthy:

It was a touching moment to conclude the night’s big win as both players showed their respect to the other’s achievement.
Portland next faces the Los Angeles Lakers in the Staples Center on Friday.
