The NBA has informed its teams that the projected salary cap for the 2020-21 season will be $115 million, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. This is a bump up from the salary cap for the 2019-20 season, which is $109.1 million. The luxury tax projection is $139 million for the 2020-21 season.
Wojnarowski notes that the 2020-21 cap is slightly below earlier projections of $116 million, but teams were also prepared for a lower number than the one announced Thursday. The salary cap for next season will be finalized in late June.
