The NBA Trade Deadline is quickly approaching, and the Trail Blazers have a chance to make an additional move to help improve the future of the organization. With that in mind, Blazer’s Edge editor and contributor Steve Dewald wants to see your best NBA Trade Machine ideas.

Admit it, we have all spent a little too long on ESPN’s acquisition tool, so let’s put that time to good use. Pique Steve’s interest and you could see your submission discussed in a future article.

How it works

  • All trades must function inside ESPN’s Trade Machine. Trades can be submitted directly to Steve in two different ways.
  • You can tag him on Twitter @SteveDHoops with a photo and brief explanation of your trade.
  • You can send your trades to him via e-mail (BEdgeSteve@gmail.com).

Creativity & Practicality

Unlike last year’s competition, this year will focus on two ideas: creativity and practicality. Outside of the box proposals are still welcome. Reminder: repeat submissions featuring CJ McCollum are far from something new. The key will be making a deal that piques Steve’s interest and presents a trade that wouldn’t end with an immediate refusal from an opposing general manager.
