Rough night for the Blazers. After CJ McCollum left the game in the first half, the team fell behind by 17 to the Mavs, but came back only to fall short down the stretch, 120-112. Now a few basics from the game.
The Lillard Flu Game. Despite being questionable due to an upper-respiratory ailment, Damian played and dominated. Unfortunately his 34 points on 13-25 shooting wasn’t enough, and he played 40 minutes while sick with a game the next day.
The McCollum Injury Game. CJ left the game due to an ankle injury and didn’t return. Other than his exit, the Blazers didn’t provide any other updates by the end of the game.
Luka’s Pretty Good. Doncic had 35 points on 11-23 shooting, including a high-arcing dagger three in the final minutes.
The Trent, um, Something Game. Gary Trent Jr left to the locker room in the second half, but the team provided no further guidance.
Portland is right back in action with less than 24 hours rest, in OKC Saturday night.
