Amar’e Stoudemire and Monta Ellis are trying to catch on with an NBA contender, according to Jordan Schultz of ESPN (and co-host of the Pull Up Pod with Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum). Schultz tweeted an update from NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Apparently both NBA veterans will hold a private workout for multiple teams next week.

Stoudemire played 14 seasons in the NBA, most prominently for the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks. He holds career averages of 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game in 31.0 minutes.

Ellis played 12 seasons for the Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, and Indiana Pacers. He averaged 17.8 points and 4.6 assists in 34.8 minutes per game.

Stoudemire is 36 years old, Ellis 33. Stoudemire last played in the 2015-16 season, Ellis in 2016-17.
