Is Anthony Davis a possibility next season?

During AD's July 14th interview with Rachel Nichols he dropped a bomb on the Lakers front office. When asked if he will re-sign after this year, he replied with, "I'm here this year, and we'll see what happens next year in June." I'm pretty sure that's not the answer Laker fans were hoping for. If LBJ finally starts to slow down maybe he won't wanna be stuck with a post-achilles Boogie.

Could an amazing run by Dame, CJ, Whiteside/Nurk, Hood, Baze, Collins & Simons convince AD that he's the missing piece to a dynasty that even the Warriors would be envious of? Could becoming the clear-cut #1 option here trump being Robin to LeBron's Batman? The synergy between CJ/Dame and AD (to me at least) seems much more compatible than that of AD/LBJ. Not to mention, roster & financial flexibility wise, Olshey has positioned us perfectly. This AD free agency is lining up nicely with our expiring contracts.

Then there's the question of legacy and his place among the greats and/or past members of the franchise. He could win 4 titles in LA and still be trailing the likes of Kobe & Magic. If he and Dame were to bring 1 title here, they'd be the undisputed kings in this region.... Forever. And being a free agent signing, not a trade acquisition, we'd still have a roster that could legitimately contend for years to come, plus all our picks to continue building. In today's NBA nothing's set in stone. So what are your thoughts?
