Enes Kanter felt pressured to make a decision regarding re-signing with the Portland Trail Blazers, reports Marc J. Spears of ESPN. Spears included a text from Kanter as part of a Tweet. In it, Kanter says he only had six minutes to make a decision, and given that he cannot contact his family in Turkey to assist him in the process, he ultimately told the Blazers no.
UPDATE: Damian Lillard contradicted Kanter’s claim to only have six minutes to decide on Twitter.
Sometimes there’s a chance you lose out on two ppl because you’re waiting on one. What I can confirm is that my boy was not given 6 mins lol... he was prob down to 6 mins from the original 45 https://t.co/vDn4cfxVHg— Damian Lillard (@Dame_Lillard) July 1, 2019
