Veteran forward Al-Farouq Aminu has agreed to a three-year, $29 million deal with the Orlando Magic. Aminu has played for the Trail Blazers since his acquisition from the Dallas Mavericks in 2015, when he signed a 4-year, $30 million dollar contract with the Blazers.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski delivered the news on Sunday.

In the 2018-19 season, Aminu averaged 9.4 points per game, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 81 starts. The former Wake Forest standout arrived in Portland after signing a four-year contract in the summer of 2015. Aminu was crucial to the Blazers’ transition from the Aldridge-era squads to the team’s current incarnation.

On behalf of Blazer’s Edge, we wish the Chief well in his future endeavors.
