The Los Angeles Lakers are rumored to be chasing several high-profile free agents this summer, but they’re not skipping over economical rotation fillers either. According to Brad Turner of the L.A. Times, Portland Trail Blazers guard Seth Curry is on the Lakers’ radar.

Curry averaged 7.9 points in 18.9 minutes per game this season for the Blazers, his first following a stress fracture that kept him sidelined for the entire 2017-18 campaign. Portland picked him up last July on a single-year deal paying less than $3 million.

Currently over the luxury tax threshold, the Blazers have only a taxpayer’s mid-level exception to divide between Curry, Rodney Hood, and Enes Kanter, all incumbent free agents this summer.
