The Trail Blazers could be among the teams looking to sign veteran power forward Taj Gibson. According to KSTP’s Darren Wolfson, Gibson will receive interest from nine teams once free agency officially starts. Gibson, a 34-year-old post player, just completed his second season with the Timberwolves.

The Clippers, Nets, Bucks, Bulls, Warriors, Raptors, Hornets and Lakers join the Blazers as interested teams according to Wolfson.

Gibson, who was drafted by the Bulls in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft, has appeared in 737 regular season games (384 starts). Last season, he recorded 10.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.

Known for his blue-collar work in the post, Gibson established himself as one of coach Tom Thibodeau’s go-to players. Gibson played under Thibodeau in both Chicago and Minnesota.
