Former Trail Blazers wing Evan Turner met with the Atlanta media on Friday to discuss his new role with the Hawks. After three seasons with the Blazers, Turner and Kent Bazemore swapped coasts in a post-draft trade.

Here is the video from Turner’s introduction:

  • Turner acknowledged that the similarity between his contract and Bazemore’s deal kept the Hawks in the back of his mind.
  • When discussing fits, Turner discussed how both Portland and Atlanta benefitted from the trade.
  • Outside of basketball, Turner is thrilled to be closer to his daughter that lives in South Carolina.

Turner is entering the final year of his four-year contract that he signed in the summer of 2016. The 30-year-old wing appeared in 217 regular season games with the Blazers.
