New, comments

In today’s rumors, the Rockets want another star, and Kawhi Leonard is looking at the Los Angeles Clippers?

With the NBA Draft only two days away, and free agency opening on June 30, rumors are picking up around the league. Here are the latest murmurs.

  • Kawhi Leonard may still be interested in Los Angeles... but could it be the Clippers?
  • After rumors that Kyrie Irving may be headed to the Nets, or even interested in joining LeBron James in Los Angeles, he may as well update his relationship status with Boston as “It’s Complicated”. This according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe:

The strangest part of the Irving situation right now is that it appears he has essentially ghosted on the Celtics. The people within the organization I have spoken with have made it clear that they have had little, if any, communication with Irving in recent weeks.

  • In team news, you’re never going to believe this, but an NBA team believes that acquiring another star would help them be better. Sounds crazy, but it’s true. Today, it’s the Houston Rockets. General Manager Daryl Morey reportedly told a local radio station that Chris Paul does not want to be traded, and that they want to bring in another star.
  • A player with a history with the Blazers, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, will be on the move. Brooklyn declined the Qualifying Offer for him, and he will be an unrestricted free agent in July.
  • Free agent Patrick Beverley is planning to meet with up to five other teams before meeting with the Clippers and making a decision.
  • Long-time Memphis star Mike Conley is on the trading block, and is being pursued yet again by the Utah Jazz.
  • After their big movies, the New Orleans Pelicans may lose Julius Randle, who is not picking up his $9 million option, and will now be an unrestricted free agent.
  • Al Horford will not exercise his $30 million option in Boston for next season, and may be heading to a new team.
