The Portland Trail Blazers and Denver Nuggets may be on their way to Game 7 of a fierce playoffs battle, but that didn’t stop Denver center Nikola Jokic from remembering a former teammate: injured Trail Blazers pivot Jusuf Nurkic. Nurkic went down for the season on March 18th with a compound leg fracture. He’s returned to Portland’s bench to offer moral support a couple times during the post-season, as he did tonight. Jokic paid tribute to Nurkic, saying it was nice to see him healthy again.
Chris Burkhart and the folks at NBC Sports Northwest have the quotes and video.

Went on to add that they me be rivals, but he’s happy to see that he has recovered so fast and is walking again. Very classy gesture. #RipCity #MileHighBasketball
