Damian Lillard, Terry Stotts Not Among Finalists for NBA Awards

The NBA announced its top three finalists for each of its major NBA Awards on Friday, but no Portland Trail Blazers were among the finalists. Head coach Terry Stotts had a strong case for Coach of the Year, but the finalists for that award are Doc Rivers, Mike Budenholzer and Michael Malone. Damian Lillard just recorded an MVP-worthy season, but instead one of Giannis Antetokounmpo, James Harden or Paul George will take the home award.

Perhaps a season-winning buzzer-beater over one finalist, and a seven-games series win over another finalist will help Lillard and Stotts cope with their snubs.
