Last August, Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum went viral on Twitter, responding to a critique from fan Jennifer Williams about not having a winning playoff record with the immortal words, “I’m trying, Jennifer.” The exchange swept the NBA, spawning t-shirts aplenty and leading to minor celebrity status for Williams, including an appearance on the WHAT Podcast on Blazer’s Edge.
Today, prior to Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Blazers and the Golden State Warriors, McCollum and Williams finally met. The Trail Blazers recorded the moment for posterity.

Perhaps meeting the real-life Jennifer will become a good luck charm for McCollum? He scored 17 on 7-19 shooting as the Blazers lost Game 1, 116-94.
