Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter contributed mightily to his team’s victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2019 NBA Playoffs. In the process he earned a separated shoulder, an injury causing concern about his potential effectiveness in the second round.
Today Kanter took the practice floor for the Blazers, observed by the media pool, who were quick to tweet out observations and assessments.
Here’s video of Kanter on the floor with teammates.
At Blazers practice, Enes Kanter trying to rest that left shoulder. It doesn’t appear to affect his jump shot . He took a few left handed layups as well. #RipCity @KGWNews pic.twitter.com/ojpdg4BHq0

Watching Enes Kanter warm up before Friday’s practice. He has padding over left shoulder. Looks like limited range of motion with left shoulder but he is able to shoot right-handed regularly.

Looks fine.., except when he saw video being shot and then he started acting as if it hurt. Funny man. https://t.co/llpN9jdhqu

Kanter just stopped his shooting routine and took off shirt to remove the padding on his shoulder. Must have been uncomfortable

We’ll update as we get more.
