Only two current Portland Trail Blazers players were with the team when Damian Lillard sent the Houston Rockets home with a buzzer-beater in the first round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs: CJ McCollum and Meyers Leonard. Moments after Tuesday’s game and another Lillard series-winner, Portland’s newest center Enes Kanter asked Leonard which of the two shots was more superior.
Leonard, who was drafted only five spots after Lillard in 2012, instantly came back with (h/t to Bleacher Report’s @varoonbose):
“This one, brother. It’s for 50 and he shot it from 40 feet! The guy is incredible.”
Kanter asks Meyers if Dame's 2014 shot or 2019 shot was better: “This one bro. He had 50 and he shot it from 40 feet!”

In his postgame press conference, Kanter also recalled watching the 2014 shot against Houston live with his father in Turkey, describing it as “very special.”
