Damian Lillard appeared on “Take It There with Taylor Rooks” earlier this week, telling Rooks that to him, failure is not being true to himself, regardless of championships. In the interview with Rooks, Lillard spoke at length about how he values the effort he puts into the game, how he feels he has nothing to prove to other people, and how earning a championship would be far more gratifying that leaving Portland for another team. Lillard stated, “If we never get it done, we never get it done.”

Lillard also discussed about the competitiveness of the Western Conference, the sweep in the 2018 Playoffs, and his experiences growing up in Oakland before attending college at Weber State, as well as his goals as a parent in the interview.
