The Blazers’ Jusuf Nurkic suffered a serious injury to his left leg Monday night at the Moda Center against the Brooklyn Nets. While going to the hoop, he came down awkwardly, fell to the court, and never got up. His left leg looked seriously injured, and didn’t move. Medical staff covered his face with a towel as he clutched at them.

He was eventually placed in a full leg cast, placed on a stretcher, and taken from the court, with all current and former teammates wishing him the best.

After the game, Blazers coach Terry Stotts said Nurkic had been taken directly to a Portland hospital. No other status was given.

Across the league, support quickly poured in from Nurkic’s fellow NBA players. Meanwhile, the Blazers and Nets players reflected on the injury after the game.
