The Blazers’ CJ McCollum will be out of action a while longer. During a pregame press conference, Portland coach Terry Stotts announced that McCollum will not travel with the team on their upcoming four-game road trip. The six-day trip will feature visits to Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit, and Minnesota.
Stotts said that McCollum is “progressing well” from a popliteus strain in his left knee, which he suffered in Portland’s March 16 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. The team previously stated that he would be re-evaluated in one week, then announced he would miss Monday night’s game against the Nets.
Prior to the Nets game, Portland had gone 3-0 in McCollum’s absence, with home victories over the Pacers, Mavericks, and Pistons.
