With both the Blazers and Spurs jockeying for playoff position, they played a close game to the final minutes. But with Portland suddenly missing a starter, the Blazers came up short, 108-103 (Box Score). Why were they short one player? Well...
- All eyes are on CJ McCollum. He went down with an unknown lower left leg injury. His ankle turned on a drive, and he was helped to the locker room. He’ll get an MRI on his knee tomorrow.
- Picking up the Slack. Damian Lillard took over as soon as McCollum went down, and Jusuf Nurkic did his best in the fourth. It just wasn’t enough.
- Three-point kaboom. Hard to blame tired legs on a short road trip, but the Blazers just couldn’t find the range all night. They shot 22% from downtown while the Spurs shot 47%.
