Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook has been a constant topic in NBA circles after his heated exchange with a Utah Jazz fan, whom he claims made racial comments at him during Monday’s game. A review done by the Jazz following the incident ended in the fan being banned from the arena.
After Tuesday’s win over the LA Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum was asked for his thoughts on the incident, as recorded by Tom Azarly of ClutchPoints:
#Blazers’ C.J. McCollum on Westbrook incident with #Jazz fan - “It’s unfortunate. Fans are very passionate, sometimes they cross the line. Things need to be handled differently and in the heat of the moment, it’s hard for us to respond in a mature manner because this is our job.” pic.twitter.com/UvwxuCKU6d
