With the acquisition of Rodney Hood, Terry Stotts has another player that requires minutes. While Hood is listed as a shooting guard, he’s more accurately referred to as a “wing” - a guy that can slot at either the two or the three.
With CJ McCollum entrenched at the two, Hood is going to eat minutes at small forward. What does this mean for Maurice Harkless and Jake Layman? Dan Sheldon from Rip City Radio tells us:
Terry Stotts says Rodney Hood will be worked into the rotation as soon as he's available. Says he's not sure if that'll be tomorrow night. Asked if that means Layman goes back to the bench for now?

"You do the math."
This would be a tough break for Layman, who has played himself into the rotation. On the season, Jake is averaging seven points and nearly three rebounds per game. Over his last 10 games, Layman is putting up 12.6 points per night on 54 percent from the floor.
Is this the right decision? Or should Harkless see less time? Let us know in the comments!
