The Portland Trail Blazers have recalled second round draft pick Gary Trent Jr. from the G League’s Texas Legends. The team announced the move Saturday morning. In his brief six-game stint with the Legends, Trent Jr. demonstrated remarkable scoring prowess, averaging 33.3 points in 34.4 minutes per game. He did so efficiently, shooting 50.7% from the field and 50% from three.
After averaging north of 30 points per contest, Trent Jr.’s highlight game came in his last appearance for the Legends. He dropped 39 points on six three-pointers, the final of which gave Texas the lead with 0.9 seconds left, ultimately sealing the victory.
