Shoes. Music. First-team All-NBA. Damian Lillard seems to be able to do it all. That includes getting paid.
The Portland Trail Blazers star in the eighth highest paid NBA player, according to Kurt Badenhausen of Forbes.com. Lillard made $41 million in 2019, with a combination of his salary and endorsements.
Badenhausen writes:
The point guard is in the middle of a five-year, $140 million deal with the Trail Blazers, who drafted Lillard sixth overall in the 2012 NBA Draft. He has released a pair of rap albums under the name Dame D.O.L.L.A. Adidas released the fifth iteration of Lillard’s signature shoe last month.
Lillard ranks between Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and Blake Griffin of the Detroit Pistons. Unsurprisingly, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers leads the list, making $88.7 million in 2019. It is his fifth straight year at the top.
