Reserve rosters for the All-Star Game were named yesterday. Neither Nowitzki nor Wade were nominated.
Nowitzki, 40, is averaging 4.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 20 appearances for the Mavericks this season. The 37-year-old Wade is faring slightly better, averaging 13.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 25.4 minutes per game in 39 appearances.
The league has not clarified what “special roster addition” entails. Nor has the league clarified whether Arvydas Sabonis can come too.
P.S. Meanwhile THIS:
Rudy grew increasingly emotional speaking with the media about his All-Star snub. Said his mom called him crying. Said he wrote and deleted several messages on social media. Finally, he grew too emotional to speak, and walked off, wiping away tears. pic.twitter.com/UkFX2nUrt8
